The famous Stone- Bennet. This device operates the Allison 730
auto trans. It works by electric operating a solenoid and air is the actual
energy required. I have one for our 730 altho I have never installed a shifter.
I have installed the bowden cable type shift.

This is a auto trans oil cooler. The trans fluid circulates
thru this unit while engine coolant carries away the heat generated by the slippage
in the trans. This cooler is typically found on in city transites, where lots
of heat is created with many starts and stops. In my own auto trans installation,
in addition to having a liquid to liquid cooler, our bus shall have a large
air to oil heat exchanger. This type exchange will also have a large 120 volt
a/c fan blowing accross the core to help reduce the heat of the trans. Heat
will destroy everything. The power for the fan will be supplied by a 1.5kw dedicated
inverter. The same inverter will supply 125 volts a/c to refrigerator.
